Online Adult Group Classes
For some, learning a language can be easier—and more fun—with others. My adult group classes welcome 2-10 participants (depending on the class) to ensure that everyone receives plenty of attention.
Advantages of learning French in a group setting:
-
Enjoy accountability: stay motivated, engaged, and on-track thanks to a small classroom size.
- Build community: connect with other French learners through interactive and engaging class discussions and activities, and share your thoughts and ideas.
- Learn new vocabulary and grammar: discover new words and expressions, and build efficiency into your language through contextual lessons and diverse topics.
- Improve pronunciation: through a focus on oral production and the guidance of a native speaker, develop a natural accent and phonetic instincts with ease.

Les yeux sont aveugles. Il faut chercher avec le cœur.
In this course, intermediate students will read the fundamental text by Saint-Exupéry. This deceptively simple novel hides a rich and philosophical core. Students will read outside and in class, and explore discussion questions about the text and their relationship with it. Grammar will also be taught and practiced in the context of the novel, including object pronouns and a primer on the passé simple literary tense. It is recommended that students possess a physical copy of the novel for this course, though a PDF of chapters will be provided upon request. Accepting 2-10 students.

Frequently Asked Questions:
I'm not sure what my level is?
Reach out to me and I'll set up a 20-minute consultation to help you find out!
Will there be homework?
Yes and no! After each class, I will provide resources to further practice the vocabulary and grammar learned during the session. In the B1/B2-level Conversation French class, you'll receive vocabulary, videos, podcasts, or articles before each class. It’s highly recommended to review these so you feel more confident and prepared to speak. I can also provide even more practice upon request!
Are the classes recorded?
Not at this time, since the primary focus of these classes is real-time conversation. However, you will receive a written lesson recap after each session.
How many students will there be in each class?
Between 2 and 10, so that everyone gets ample attention and plenty of opportunities to speak. Bigger class sizes may even be broken down into smaller groups depending on the task.
What if I miss a class?
Please inform me of your absence. Unfortunately, missed classes are not refunded and the missed session will be lost. However, everyone receives 1 45-minute make-up credit per semester: a private session where you can review what you missed.
What if the class is already full?
You can join the waiting list for the next semester. If there’s strong demand, additional classes may be added during the year.
What's expected of me as a student?
Arrive on time ready to learn, participate respectfully, and complete the prep work if you can—you'll get so much out of each class!
